Are customers becoming more discerning about coffee?
Even though the market is becoming price sensitive, a good chunk of the HORECA segment didn't compromise quality over price. High quality products are a must have to meet the taste of a demanding clientele.
How concerned are they about sustainability and what are you doing about it?
Sustainability is becoming a way of life especially in hotels and international coffee shop chains. From our end, Cafes Richard is continuously working on the corporate social responsibility by sourcing fair trade beans, biodegradable packaging and environmental friendly serving equipment.
How much are innovations driving growth?
Based on the latest market trends, this year we launched a couple of 100% Arabica and pure origin blends to meet the taste of a demanding Palate. At Cafes Richard we keep our tradition of roasting coffee beans with a French touch while focusing on the end recipe and pairing methods that are very welcomed by our customers.
How do you attract the millennial crowd to your products?
The market is seeking an experience and that's the key for a repeat customer. With the assistance of our local partners, we go the extra mile in supporting our clients by offering a complete hot beverage solution to ensure the correct steps are taken for consistent quality.
What will the coffee industry look like in five years?
In five years, the premium coffee shops offering a consistent coffee experience will be available at a very high price. Creativity and complex coffee preparation methods will remain a trend, not to forget the growing demand for a serious retail coffee machine setup for home use.
