Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has celebrated the opening of Mandarin Oriental Palace, Luzern, the city’s iconic Belle Epoque landmark that has undergone an extensive and elaborate renovation. The hotel has undergone an extensive and elaborate renovation, overseen by local architects Iwan Bühler Architekten and London-based interior designers Jestico + Whiles, who have preserved the building’s history and heritage while delivering a contemporary design inspired by the beauty of the surrounding Swiss landscapes. Dramatically positioned overlooking the shores of Lake Lucerne, the hotel is a stone’s throw from the charming old town and with spectacular views over the Swiss Alps.

The hotel is poised to become one of Lucerne’s most exclusive venues. The property features 136 spacious guestrooms including 48 of the city`s largest suites. The rooms are designed with a contemporary style, each one light-filled with a palette of green and terracotta, offering a blend of comfort and style with city views. Luxurious bathrooms feature Diptyque amenities.
Contemporary dining
The property is home to four restaurants and bars under the patronage of executive chef Gilad Peled.
These include international all-day dining destination MOzern Bar & Brasserie, and Mediterranean restaurant Quai 10, with an al fresco Mediterranean ambience on Lake Lucerne.
Modern French restaurant Colonnade which is opening in Q1 2023 offering an elevated dining experience that celebrates modern French haute cuisine, and Japanese restaurant Minamo is also set to open in Q1 2023 serving refined Japanese cuisine.
