Having worked 27 years with Indian Hotels Company Limited, and more than two years as general manager, Ranjit Phillipose, the Area director – Middle East and General Manager, Indian Hotels Company Limited, is aggressively seeking development opportunities to grow the Taj brand in the Middle East.
IHCL aims to operate more than 1,000 rooms in Dubai by 2021, and more than 1,300 rooms in the Middle East.
The Taj Jumeirah Lakes Towers is set to open in 2019 (previously called the Vivanta by Taj and scheduled for a 2018 opening), followed by Taj Exotica Resort and Spa, The Palm in 2020 (delayed from its 2019 debut), the company’s first resort in the region. Next up will be the Taj Deira Creek in Dubai in 2022, and 2023 will see the company’s first opening in Saudi Arabia with the Taj Makkah.
