Faris Satli has been announced as the group director of business development for Ishraq Hospitality, the asset management and real estate division of the Dubai-based Mohamad & Obaid AlMulla Group.
Satli has more than 20 years of experience in senior roles with top international firms such as Barclays, HSBC, SC, and BlueBay Hotels and Resorts. During this time, he covered wealth management sales and advisory, asset management, and hotels business development.
Faris Satli’s role in growing Ishraq Hospitality
The acting CEO of Ishraq Hospitality, Alexander Suski, announced “Satli is a key team member in Ishraq Hospitality’s ambitions to grow its presence in the MENA region. We are excited he is a part of the team to contribute to our bold objectives. His significant experience and knowledge will help expand Ishraq Hospitality’s portfolio across the GCC and MENA region”.
Satli, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from AAST, Alexandria, Egypt, is now a certified investment advisor from the CISI Institute, London. Not only an expert chess player, but a headstrong, detailed-oriented person; fit to work with Ishraq Hospitality’s line-up of hotels set to open.
Ishraq Hospitality eyes Egypt and Oman
Satli has been brought in at a time where Ishraq Hospitality looks to grow in Egypt and Oman.
The third-party operator stepped into Arabian Travel Market (ATM) this year to announce its growth plans and its recent successes in the emirates. In Dubai, the group’s portfolio of hotels manifested its success with over 80 percent occupancy in 2021 alone and has increased to over 95 percent since January 2022. Holiday Inn Express is one of IHG’s fastest-growing hotel brands with over 3,000 hotels.
Other properties in its portfolio include Holiday Inn Express Dubai – Safa Park, Holiday Inn Dubai Al Maktoum Airport and Staybridge Suites Dubai Al Maktoum Airport. Crowne Plaza Deira and Crowne Plaza Jumeirah are also in the stable.
