Anantara Mina Al Arab appoints new chef de cuisine

The Ras Al Khaimah Resort brings in Jorge Badillo to oversee the Beach House restaurant

Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort has appointed a new chef de cuisine. Jorge Badillo will oversee The Beach House Mediterranean restaurant.

With 14 years of experience working in leading kitchens around the world, he joined Catch Brasserie in Jeddah, where he was executive chef, overseeing two outlets and 45 kitchen staff.

He said: “I have been privileged to work in and lead exceptional kitchens all around the world and I relish the opportunity of becoming part of something special at Anantara Mina Al Arab. The Beach House team radiates talent and together we are dedicated to establishing our restaurant as a leading dining experience in Ras Al Khaimah and the UAE,” says Chef Badillo.

Jorge Badillo’s experience before Anantara Mina Al Arab

After graduating from Mexico’s Colegio Superior de Gastronomía in 2012, Badillo began his career at the fine-dining Sesame Restaurant. He landed his first chef de cuisine role at 900 Novecento Polanco in Mexico that same year.

After relocating to Dubai in 2014, he worked as sous chef at La Tablita at Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights before moving to China. In 2022, Chef Badillo was appointed head chef at Ganea Kitchen Fairy Tales Brasserie in Guangzhou. He then moved to Saudi Arabia.
