Anantara, The Palm Dubai is enhancing its pastry offering, by bringing on chef Yves Reynaud.
The chef brings 37 years of experience as a pastry chef in luxury hotels and gourmet pastry shops around the world. Trained at the Ecole Lenotre, Ecole Du Grand Chocolat Valrhona, and Fauchon culinary schools and delicatessens in Paris, Reynaud began his career as a pastry chef at Le Grand Hotel Du Cap Ferrat in France and has since taken his talent and expertise to the UAE, Russia, Indonesia, Croatia, Uzbekistan, Kuwait, Romania, Qatar, Maldives, and his hometown of Fort William in Scotland.
He has served at two Michelin star restaurants, consulted with luxury brand hotels for grand openings, pastry team training, and huge celebration events, and established Café Chardon, his own luxury café and patisserie in Fort William.
Reynaud travels to Dubai with well-earned respect as a world-leading pastry chef.
Michael Pearson, executive chef, at Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort, said: “Our passionate and talented team have always been proud of the excellent pastries created and served from every one of our signature outlets, but we will continuously strive to enhance our products. Having Chef Yves join us as a consultant represents a huge commitment to that goal and we couldn’t be more excited about the innovation and enrichment he will help us bring to our pastry products, both throughout the summer of 2022 and for many years beyond,”
Reynaud arrived at Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort in late May 2022 for a three-month stay and is already working with the resort pastry team to create luxurious products for all Anantara guests and visitors.
He said: “Creating new excellence in pastry products has been a passion throughout my entire career and I love working with dedicated teams who share the same commitment to serving the very best. Anantara represents a level of luxury and distinction that matches my expectations and I am eager to begin working with the team in Dubai and to discover what we will develop together,”
