How did winning a Hotelier award change the course of your career?
I was truly humbled by the privilege of being recognised by my peers in the field. It is particularly rewarding knowing that the awards were both nominated and voted by industry professionals and which I consider a pride and great achievement in my career. In addition, I was delighted to have met so many great organizers that are working towards evolving the industry.
This recognition truly encouraged me to look out for fresh ideas, think of new trends to introduce to the spa in aim to further enhance our guest experience.

What is the best part of your job?
After two decades of working in the fitness and spa industry, especially in hotels and resorts’ setting, it is hard to define one single part I like best. One thing I can confirm is that I feel strongly passionate about my job which shows when dealing with guests. I truly love what I do, and the fact that others realize this gives me confidence to help people find a way to self-manage their physical and spiritual wellbeing.

What would you say to this year’s winners?
I think it’s important to recognize that winning this award is a testament to all the hard work that goes into everything you do, but it is just as much as a reward for your outstanding team who contribute to this success. Aim to be someone who has as much impact on others’ careers as your own and who is committed to continuing to grow the wellness industry. There are so many deserving winners across the region. I look forward to seeing who will be in the spotlight this year!
