What is your role now?
Self-checker in housekeeping department.

How did winning a Hotelier award change the course of your career?
I feel that I have become a role model for my fellow team members – someone who can be easily approached by the others. I have had so many colleagues from different departments asking me how can they turn our guests’ moments into memories in a more creative and innovative way. I have also been promoted to a self-checker role, which I am very proud of.

What is the best part of your job?
I enjoy creating personalised ‘wow-moments’ for our guests – from dressing up as Santa during the festive season and surprising kids across the floor, to personally engaging with our guests on a daily basis.

What would you say to this year’s winners?
Congratulations on winning the region’s most sought-after hospitality accolade!
