Bahrain issues travel warning to citizens

Country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs made the announcement

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain has issued a travel warning to its citizens in Iraq.

Officials have asked citizens to refrain from travelling to Iraq anytime soon and has asked citizens living in Iraq to excise caution.

The Ministry has called on “all Bahraini citizens who are now in the Iraq to leave the country immediately for their own security and safety and to exercise utmost caution, keep away from unrest and rioting spots and observe the instructions of the competent local authorities”, the Bahrain News Agency reported.
