The Retreat Palm Dubai MGallery makes executive appointments

The new hires include a director of wellbeing and an executive housekeeper

The Retreat Palm Dubai has announced two new executive appointments. Sumesh Gopal has been promoted to the role of The Retreat’s director of wellbeing  and Preeti Gupta has been welcomed to the team as executive housekeeper.

With 23 years of experience spanning across hospitality management, healthcare and private banking, Gopal is set to build on the foundations at The Retreat to create further transformational and inspirational experiences for both residents and tourists.

Speaking on his promotion, Gopal commented: “The energy of the team at The Retreat is something I love and I am excited to further evolve my position in the hotel. My primary focus will be to enrich the wellness offerings by adding new pillars to further create immersive and memorable wellbeing experiences for wellness lovers, corporate groups, government accounts, and niche communities, through demonstrating commitment, passion and perseverance in line with the UAE Wellbeing Strategy 2031; it’s a really exciting time for us!”

Gupta has over two decades of housekeeping experience, previously working with international and local hospitality chains such in the Middle East and Asia. Before The Retreat Palm Dubai, she was the Executive Housekeeper at Ramada Plaza Hotel. In her current role, Gupta oversees the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department and maintains its recognized high standards of service.

Commenting on her new role and joining The Retreat, Gupta shared: “I’m delighted to take the position as Executive Housekeeper at The Retreat. It’s a concept I love and I am so happy to be part of this team. I’m looking forward to a busy season as we are looking forward to welcoming guests around the globe.’’
