Soneva Jani, a luxury resort in the Noonu Atoll in the Maldives, has unveiled its line-up of visiting wellness and health professionals coming to the resort.

Throughout December 2019 and the following year, practitioners with expertise in Ayurveda, physiotherapy, massage, pilates, yoga and a handful of other fields, will congregate on the island resort.

The wellness experts will focus on what Soneva calls its four main pillars of holistic wellness. These are: Wellness of the Mind; Wellness of the Soul and Sleep; Wellness of the Body; and Wellness of Nutrition and Life.

Roger Moore – Wellness of the Soul and Sleep (December 13 – January 3)

Moore has more than 30 years’ experience in western medical approaches to health, as well as the Eastern ‘Shamanic’ spiritual approach to wellness. He is said to combine psychological and spiritual philosophy.

Dr. G. N. Lakshman – Wellness of Nutrition and Life (December – TBD)

Lakshman is trained for practicing Ayurveda, having being taught the process by Ayurvedic gurus in Chennai. He specialises in paediatrics, eye care, ear, nose and throat care, cancer care, Panchakarma, and Nadi Vigyan.

He also offers advice on following an Ayurveda diet and making healthy lifestyle changes.

Pooja Das – Wellness of Nutrition and Life (December – TBD)

Das is a member of Lakshman’s team, also trained in Ayurveda practices. She has a focus on Ayurveda pressure points to help with tissue repair and lymphatic drainage.

Jobin Kannonil Joy – Wellness of Nutrition and Life (December – TBD)

A member of Laksham’s team, Joy has a focus on Ayurveda practices, as well as Fusion Abyangam and Marma Massages.

Mark Yevtifeyev – Wellness of the Body (Year-round)

A professional physiotherapist, sports coach and massage therapist for more than 25 years. Yevtifeyev has a focus on health, fitness, nutrition, and injury recovery.

He can also assist with acupuncture, chiropractic tasks, vacuum cupping, personal training and deep tissue massage.

Pawan Kumar – Wellness of the Mind (Year-round)

Kumar provides various yoga services in ancient Indian ashrams and has also studied with yoga masters in the Himalayas.
