The closure of Dubai’s restaurants, cafes, and bars has been extended until further notice, according to a circular released by Dubai Tourism.

It stated that “In line with Dubai Government Precautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of its residents and visitors, we extend all the Precautionary Circulars on the [Dubai Tourism] website until further notice”.

The previous restrictions on dine-in had been due to be reviewed on April 18, but this new circular suggests the end to the crisis caused by the coronavirus has no fixed end in sight.

Restaurants are still allowed to operate takeaway and delivery functions.
