Rainer Becker is set to open his second concept in the Middle East with the launch of Roka at ME Dubai in early 2020.

The man behind the world famous Zuma brand, which has outlets in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, is bringing his other Japanese concept to the hotel set to open in the Zaha Hadid designed Opus by Omniyat in Dubai’s Business Bay.

Situated on the first floor of ME Dubai, the 185-seat restaurant will focus on robatayaki, the Japanese method of cooking over charcoal, and there’s a 64-seat terrace for diners to enjoy their food al fresco.

It’s the first outlet for Roka in the Middle East, with the 15-year old brand currently operating four locations in London.
