Al Bustan Centre & Residence, Dubai, recently concluded its third blood donation drive for its employees. The campaign formed part of its ‘Responsible Awareness Programme’ and is in line with the hotel’s corporate social responsibility, a statement revealed.

In collaboration with Dubai Blood Donation Center, the campaign aimed to instil the concept of charitable work during the holy month of Ramadan and also promote the message of adopting a healthy lifestyle among its employees.

Senior management, employees and the staff participated in the humanitarian cause and a total of 23 units of blood were collected at the mobile unit that visited the property.

Moussa El Hayek, chief operating officer of Al Bustan Centre and Residence, said: “During the summer months, blood donation centres are usually facing a shortage in supply; hence there is a need to organize more such voluntary donation camps.

“This drive is just our way of creating more powerful and meaningful communities by being a part of the daily activities of the citizens and residents of this country, knowing the blood will help change someone’s life,” he added.
