Millennium Hotels and Resorts MEA has partnered with The Storey Group, a consulting firm dedicated to environmental sustainability and social impact, to plant 100,000 trees worldwide over the next five years.
The project aims to reclaim 65 hectares of land and sequester over 32,000 kilograms of carbon dioxide annually from the Earth’s atmosphere. Trees will be strategically planted across 16 countries, selected based on optimal planting seasons for each location.
Leveraging advanced technology provided by The Storey Group, Millennium Hotels and Resorts MEA will meticulously track the carbon impact of each tree, while gaining insights into the species, farmers, and locations involved, thereby fostering engagement among employees and customers.
Fahad Abdulrahim Kazim, CEO of Millennium Hotels & Resorts MEA & Lakhraim Group, said: ” We are delighted to work with The Storey Group to help combat climate change across the world.
