Dubai Media City hangout Q43 is closing its doors permanently.
Located on the 43rd floor of the Media One Hotel, the Solutions Leisure venue was an instant hit when it opened at the tail end of 2013, winning a number of awards including Time Out Dubai’s Best Ladies Night for 2015.
Inspired by a New York-style loft, and offering views across Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Marina, Q43 was known for its popular brunches and events, as well as being a post-work hangout for a relaxed drink.
Solutions Leisure sales and marketing director Spencer Hartwell said: “Having been a part of Solutions Leisure here in Dubai since day one, Q43 holds a special place in my heart. It was our first baby and one I personally spent far too many nights in.
“There was always a chance that Covid would cause casualties, I personally hoped that it would not be Q. It is a venue we are all very proud of and one that placed us firmly on the F&B map here in Dubai. We have always said out loud that Q43 started it all for us, and without her we wouldn’t have begun this incredible journey.”
With the likes of DJs Roger Sanchez and Erick Morillo playing sets in the venue, Q43 is likely to live on long in the memory.
