While Seven Tides currently owns four hotels, it only manages one property — Dukes Dubai on Palm Jumeirah. Moving forward, however, Seven Tides plans to start operating properties itself, which, Abdulla Bin Sulayem says will “bring additional flexibility to the operation”.
In May, the group revealed plans for its first mixed-use development in Jumeirah Lakes Towers — Se7en City JLT, which will include a hotel component, Bin Sulayem tells Hotelier Middle East.
Seven Tides had also revealed to Hotelier in March 2017 that it was working on a new resort plan that would be launched on Dubai’s World Islands. There has been no update on the project since.
In September last year, the group also told sister title Construction Week that its Seven Residences project on Palm Jumeirah might include a boutique hotel.
“In strategising for future success, Seven Tides is constantly evaluating new opportunities in various markets and considering different models. We will also continue to focus on identifying character-led projects in prime locations,” Bin Sulayem states.
