A seasoned hotelier, Hussein Ali Hatata has four decades of experience under his belt at Al Khozama Management Company, where he has been a proponent of the company’s diversified business model of owning, investing and operating hotels. The Saudi-based group is intent on its quest to be the kingdom’s leading hospitality brand, and currently manages six hotels, with another three under development.
In previous news reports, Hatata has expressed interest in the company’s expansion across Saudi Arabia, citing Al Khobar and Dammam as potential locations for new hotels. In 2016, the group also revealed plans to expand its sharia-compliant hotels outside Saudi Arabia, with several potential markets, including Dubai and the Maldives, on the table. Currently, the company’s management portfolio includes Al Shohada Makkah and Bay La Sun Hotel & Marina in King Abdullah Economic City, Jeddah.
