Another new entrant on this year’s list is Pierre Sokhon, who oversees Al Khoory Hotels’ hospitality division. With its sights firmly set on the mid-market segment, the group currently has six properties in the pipeline, which will add 628 rooms to its current portfolio.
Pipeline hotels include Al Khoory Courtyard Hotel Al Quoz, Al Khoory City Hotel Al Quoz, Al Khoory Sky Garden Deira, and three yet to be named Al Khoory hotels in Oman.
Al Khoory general manager Pierre Sokhon’s vision for the group is to make Al Khoory properties “the best in class halal hotels in Dubai and Oman”, he tells Hotelier Middle East.
He adds: “Despite being a newly grown local chain, we have made sure that our guest satisfaction is our priority. We have created everything from scratch, be it the brand identity, setting up the corporate office, developing strong teams to manage the hotels, to developing new concepts in hotel layout and design, focusing on fresh, bright colours, a lively atmosphere with a modern feeling.”
