Mohamed Ahmed Awadalla drives significant revenue and pipeline growth for home-grown hotel brand Time Hotels Management. With a decade under his belt at the company, the business is moving from strength to strength in the hospitality industry.
Time Hotels currently operates nine properties under four different brands: Time Hotels & Resorts, which covers four- and five-star hotels; Time Hotels Express, a brand that features three-star hotels; Time Hotel Apartments, which specialises in furnished apartments; and Time Residence, which includes both furnished and unfurnished residential apartments.
The UAE-headquartered company has eight hotels in its pipeline throughout the Middle East, all of which are set to open by Q4 2018. The company is also planning to extend its footprint to Ajman and Fujairah in the UAE, followed by Saudi Arabia before the end of Q4 2018.
The new additions will join Time Hotels’ existing portfolio of seven properties between Dubai and Sharjah, taking the total tally to 17 properties in the Middle East.
From 2015 to 2016, the firm’s revenue has increased by 12%, while gross operating profit has increased 12% and net operating profit increased 8%.
Time is also striving to play an important role in “overcoming the gender gap in the Middle East”. At Arabian Travel Market 2017, the company announced that its new four-star hotel in Dubai’s Al Barsha district, Time Asma Hotel, would be operated by 80% female staff, headed by general manager Ghada Mahgoub, and would feature dedicated facilities for female travellers.
