As chief executive officer of Alila’s parent company, Two Roads Hospitality Asia, Frederic Flageat-Simon has been in his current role for a little over 12 years. His 20 years of industry expertise span both Europe and Asia.
Flageat-Simon started his Alila journey as managing director in 2001. With 16 years at the company, he has been the driving force behind the ultra-luxe Alila Villas and its brand delivery. As CEO for Two Roads Hospitality Asia, he oversees all operational partnerships and leads in the Asia Pacific expansion of this multi-branded lifestyle platform, establishing brands Alila, Thompson, JDV, Destination Hotels, and Tommie in the region.
Responsible for 2,900 employees, Flageat-Simon tells Hotelier the brand is scheduled to triple in size globally by 2020. Alila Salalah in Oman, which was announced in 2014, is still in the development phase according to the firm’s website.
