Simon Casson has been with Four Seasons since 1989, and has climbed through the ranks of the hospitality industry to become the president of hotel operations for the EMEA region for Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts over the last year.
Having worked in the region since 2005, in the last year Casson has led the opening of the Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi at Al Maryah Island, and the opening of the 284-room Four Seasons Hotel Kuwait at Burj Alshaya in August this year. Next on his agenda for the region is the 200-key Four Seasons Hotel Tunis.
Europe, while not counted for this listing, is one of Casson’s responsibilities, and he will spearhead the opening of the brand’s first European mountain resort, Four Seasons Hotel Megève, in the French Alps, in December.
Casson’s story is quite the inspiration. As he says: “Having been part of the Four Seasons family for almost three decades, needless to say, I have grown with the brand, both personally and professionally. In many ways it has been a life-defining experience. My [progress] from dishwasher to president over the past 35 years has been quite the journey.”
He has also chaired the company’s Global Spa Task Force to cement the brand’s position as the largest spa operator, in this region and beyond.
