Driving significant expansion across the Middle East for Wyndham Hotels is Bani Haddad, who joined the company in late 2007.
Since then, Haddad has been behind the aggressive growth of the Ramada hotels brand in the region and the introduction of the group’s flagship brand Wyndham Hotels and Resorts in Doha.
The group currently has 33 hotels operational in the Middle East, but with a portfolio of 15 brands to choose from and Qatar and Saudi Arabia identified as clear growth markets, the potential for expansion is phenomenal.
Currently, there are eight committed properties in the pipeline, including the Planet Hollywood Hotel Entertainment City in Doha, which marks the inaugural expansion of Planet Hollywood Hotels following the signing of a license agreement in September 2010 granting Wyndham Hotel Group exclusive rights to franchise Planet Hollywood branded hotels and provide management services globally.
The hotel, scheduled to open in 2014, will expand Wyndham Hotel Group’s presence in Qatar’s capital city, joining two Ramada hotels, the Ramada Plaza Doha and the Ramada Encore Doha and the 246-Wyndham Grand Regency Doha, both owned by Regency Group Holding along with the Planet Hollywood Hotel.
