Anders Dimblad began his career with Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts in 2003 and was made executive assistant manager of Angsana Ihuru before moving to Dubai in November 2006.
In September 2010 he was appointed GM at Banyan Tree Seychelles where he was also a member of the board of the Seychelles Tourism Academy, before moving back to the UAE.
Dimblad’s attention is now firmly on running the company’s two luxury resorts properties in the UAE — Banyan Tree Al Wadi and Banyan Tree Beach — and ensuring they deliver upon the group’s goal to offer guests an unforgettable experience and sense of place.
He is also helping the group prepare for the launch of Angsana Sifah in Oman, which is set to open in 2015. The resort will be part of a development that includes villas, apartments, an 18-hole golf course and a marina. Further developments are planned for the Middle East over the next few years, according to Dimblad.
