Josef Kufer has been chief operating officer at Emaar Hospitality Group (EHG) for a year now, overseeing a period of exciting developments.
In July, the group posted revenues of AED 771 million (US$ 210 million) during the first six months of 2013, a 7% increase on the same period in 2012. This was attributed largely to The Address Hotels + Resorts brand, which celebrates its fifth anniversary this year, recording an average occupancy of 90%.
This year, EHG also strengthened its existing portfolio of 13 hotels and 2000 rooms with the introduction of the Vida Hotels and Resorts and the Dubai Inn hotel brands.
Vida Downtown Dubai opened in June, a cool, contemporary upper-upscale brand that targets the younger generation, corporate traveller, while plans for the Dubai Inn aim to meet the needs of a more budget conscious market.
The group has also announced various luxurious hotel and serviced residence developments, including The Address The BLVD Downtown Dubai and The Address Residence Sky View.
