Jamal Serhan the CEO and senior vice president, Warwick Hotels and Resorts received a push in terms of ranking this year, after he placed 28th on the Power 50 list, with an interesting pipeline of hotels backing him.
Warwick Hotels is one of the youngest hospitality groups in the Middle East after it made its debut in 2012.
The company’s portfolio in this region spans six countries, including the UAE, Lebanon, Iraq, Turkey and Saudi Arabia. Currently operating 16 hotels in the MENA region, both in the four and five-star category, the group plans to accelerate growth in the region with 25 hotels and 2,500 rooms by 2025.
Earlier this year, Serhan said that the group was particularly keen to expand in Saudi Arabia, and that the country holds “strong potential”.
Serhan, who has 36 years of experience, 29 of which were spent with the company, revealed that Warwick will be opening two hotels in Riyadh this year, one with 100 rooms and another with 90 rooms, in addition to a property in Dammam with 105 keys.
