Hunter & Barrel opened its doors at the Millennium Hotel in Mirdif Hills.
With roots established in Vida Emirates Hills, Yas Bay Waterfront, and a pop-up venue at Expo 2020, Hunter & Barrel opened its third venue in the UAE
Hunter & Barrel’s first venue opened in Sydney, in December 2015, followed by two additional venues in Melbourne and Perth, setting the international platform for its first overseas debut in Dubai, 2021, with plans to expand across the Middle East.
Owned and operated by Seagrass Boutique Hospitality Group, the new venue can serve 150 guests for lunch or dinner. Celebrated for its steaks, Hunter & Barrel offers high-quality charcoal-grilled meats with fresh vegetables, and barrel-aged craft beverages, all while maintaining a culinary and thematic homage to ancestral hunter-gatherer techniques through a menu of sharing platters for communal dining.
Chef Kamil Bouloot, head of culinary and operations at Hunter & Barrel, curated an exclusive menu for the Middle East that includes a wide range of dishes. Hunter’s sharing platter features an assortment of open-fire prawns, smoky chicken wings, three cheese dips and spicy calamari, while steak lovers can enjoy a range of cuts, including a huge 1.3kg tomahawk or 700g angus T-bone for communal sharing.
Bradley Michael, CEO and founder of Seagrass Boutique Hospitality Group previously said to Caterer Middle East: “We’re excited to bring our culinary excellence and barrel-aged beverages to a new market in the UAE. Our locations at Vida Hills and on Yas Island have proved popular, so we look forward to replicating that success with a new restaurant in the eastern part of Dubai.”
