Oscar nominee and two-time Golden Globe winner, John Travolta, who is also Australian carrier Qantas’ ambassador-at-large, visited the UAE to promote the partnership, marking his inaugural visit to Dubai.
During his week-long visit, the actor, famous for his roles in films such as Grease and Pulp Fiction, spent the day at Al Maha, A Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa, enjoying a range of activities including camel rides and a falconry demonstration.
“The visit to Al Maha was truly breath taking. I found the desert and atmosphere to be very serene and relaxing. It was such a luxurious and tranquil environment. Al Maha is definitely on my list of places to come back to,” Travolta commented.
John Travolta jetted in aboard the Qantas A380; the carrier hosted Travolta and his family in Dubai, during which time he took in some of the city’s most iconic destinations and attended a press conference held at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray on the Palm Jumeirah.
Speaking at Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport on his arrival, Travolta said that he was honoured to be involved in such a pivotal time in the airline’s history with its new services to Dubai.
“I’m also really looking forward to experiencing the Arabic hospitality and sightseeing throughout the week. I’ve heard so many great things about Dubai and I can’t wait to explore it for myself so I can then tell my friends to come here too,” Travolta said.
