UK-based Galvin Restaurants venture into the UAE

Demoiselle by Galvin, the 210-seat continental style all-day cafe is set to open its doors in Dubai's City Walk in March

The Demoiselle brand is set to expand its locale from Knightsbridge to Dubai.

The restaurant spans 6,039ft2 across two floors with more than half of the restaurant set on a terrace overlooking City Walk.

Demoiselle by Galvin’s menu has been personally designed by the Galvin brothers and led by executive chef Luigi Vespero. Working under the wing of Chris and Jeff Galvin for three years in London, Vespero opened Galvin la Chapelle and contributing significantly to the success of Galvin Bistrot de Luxe.

The menu is simple with signature dishes, including breakfast options that feature hand-made artisanal bread and viennoiserie. The venue also offers an extensive lunch and dinner menu. Upstairs, guests will fine the salon de the, a modern parlour that will host Demoiselle by Galvin’s afternoon tea.

Galvin Restaurants co-founder Jeff Galvin said in a statement: “We are tremendously excited for the launch of Demoiselle by Galvin in Dubai, our very first venture outside the UK. We have been exploring our expansion to the UAE for more than seven years and all of the elements are in place – location, team, partner, menu, and interiors – to create a timeless experience in a very modern city.”

Chris Galvin, who founded Galvin Restaurants with his younger brother in 2005 added: “With a love of shopping and celebrating over good food with family and friends, Dubai is the ideal market for Demoiselle by Galvin, and our first international opportunity to share our passion for classic cuisine, service, and customer focus.”

Demoiselle by Galvin is the Galvin brothers’ 11th venture, adding a global element to the family-run collection of French restaurants created by Michelin-starred chef brothers Chris and Jeff Galvin.
