Radisson announces rapid expansion in Morocco, four hotels open this month

The group has signed for seven hotels, equaling 1,600 keys

Radisson Hotel Group has announced rapid expansion plans in Morocco as it looks to open four hotels in July alone. The quartet of openings join three others the group has signed, which will open in 2022.

The seven hotels are in partnership with Madaëf. They are spread across Al Hoceima, Saïdia and Taghazout, positions that put Radisson close to a mix of beaches, golf courses, marinas, sand dunes and mountains.

They are part of Radisson’s larger plans for 15 hotels in operation and under development in the country by 2025.

Al Hoceima

Two Radisson properties will open in Al Hoceima this month, nicknamed the ‘Mediterranean Pearl’ for its beaches and blue waters.

Radisson Blu Resort and Radisson Blu Residences will bring 432 and 142 keys respectively. The properties will be adjacent to one another, allowing guests to access three swimming pools and an extensive range of leisure and wellness facilities.

Saïdia

In the North-east of Morocco along the Mediterranean coast is Saïdia, nicknamed the ‘blue pearl’. The area has more than 14km of beachfront and is known for all-year-round sunshine. This makes it a hotspot for watersports and golfing.

Radisson Blu Resort, Saïdia Beach will open there this month, bringing with it 397 keys.

By Q2 2022, both the Radisson Blu Resort, Saïdia Garden and Radisson Blu Residences, Saïdia will open, housing 150 and 192 rooms respectively. The resort will have a fitness centre, all-day dining restaurant and bar.

The residences meanwhile will have its own all-day dining restaurant, as well as two signature restaurants, a lounge and a wet bar.

Taghazout Bay

Taghazout Bay is a seaside resort located on the Atlantic coast in the South-West of Morocco.

The fourth hotel in the portfolio to open this month, is the Radisson Blu Resort, Taghazout Bay Surf Village, which will consist of various accommodation types perfect for family getaways. It will also have a wide array of facilities and dining options.

On track to open in Q1 2023, the Radisson Residences Taghazout Bay 208-unit will comprise of two- and three-bedroom apartments and also provide guests with access to its outdoor swimming pool.
