Deutsche Hospitality opens second InterCity hotel in Oman
The property is in Nizwa
Germany hotelier firm Deutsche Hospitality has opened its second IntercityHotel-brand property in Oman, part of the group’s plans to expand across the Middle East.
Deutsche Hospitality announced last year that the Middle East would play “a major part” in its growth plans, with the goal of doubling its global portfolio by 2024. Despite the ongoing challenges presented by the coronavirus, the group has managed to continue this mission with the recent Omani opening.
Located in the Sultanate’s city of Nizwa, the IntercityHotel Nizwa is located at the edge of the Hadschar mountain range and surrounded by the Nizwa Grand Mall and the Aqua Water Park.
The hotel features 120 keys, as well as a restaurant, a café and a pool bar. Facilities include a health and beauty spa, a gym, a steam bath and a ballroom able to accommodate up to 700 people. Also for MICE travellers, there are three conference rooms which can be combined together to suit larger business gatherings.
"We are delighted to be establishing a further IntercityHotel in Oman," explained Thomas Willms, CEO, Deutsche Hospitality. "Oman offers fantastic holiday destinations and an outstanding host culture. Our guests in Nizwa will be provided with a new international hotel with superb services that combine bot European and Arab influences.”
"The huge Ballroom, the rooftop pool and the events rooms are all USPs for us in this wonderful city," said Anees Shinnara, General Manager of the IntercityHotel Nizwa. "The whole team is ready to fuel the enthusiasm of our guests."
Elsewhere in the region, the group has set its sights on the UAE and Saudi Arabia for more hotels.
