Bab Al Qasr Abu Dhabi develops learning platform to upskill staff
E-Learning Studio will be continuously updated with more training content
Bab Al Qasr Abu Dhabi has developed its own learning platform for staff to use to help develop themselves and their careers.
E-Learning Studio has more than 60 hours of training content, through videos, interactive quizzes, e-books, live programmes and a handful of other mediums.
Created in-house, the studio has been tailored to the hotel’s staff, with users able to customise their training depending on their job description.
Alongside a growing list of courses, the platform provides an e-library, a hotel policy section and a social page for employees to keep up to date on each other’s achievements.
The internal portal was spearheaded by the property’s learning & development manager, Asela De Silva, who told Hotelier Middle East he will continuously update the studio.
In May the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) introduced the Abu Dhabi Specialist Programme to help support the tourism sector.
Designed for tour operators, travel agents and wholesalers, the platform gives professionals accurate information on Abu Dhabi, helping them to promote the destination to their consumers across the globe.
Rolled out in three phases, the programme will come in several languages for 17 markets, including the United Kingdom, USA, Canada, India, Australia, New Zealand, China, South Korea, Germany, France, Italy, Ireland and Russia, as well as GCC countries.
The first phase is in in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and India.
