BA aircraft collides with Emirates aircraft at DXB

Multiple news sources have reported that a British Airways aircraft collided with a parked Emirates aircraft at Dubai International Airport in the early hours of April 14.

In a statement, an Emirates spokesperson said, “We can confirm that early this morning (April 14), another airline’s aircraft made contact with a stationary Emirates aircraft at Dubai International Airport.”

Those familiar with the incident explained that it involved a BA Airbus A350-1000 and an Emirates Boeing 777. The BA plane’s left horizontal stabiliser was significantly damaged in the collision.

“No one was injured. The incident is under investigation,” said the spokesperson.
