Organisers of Expo 2020 Dubai have released a video on its official YouTube page highlighting the scale of Expo’s cleaning measures amid the current coronavirus situation.

The video noted that a thorough sanitation procedure has been carried out across the Expo 2020 Dubai site, with 1,000 cleaning staff coming in each day. The workforce can be seen putting on medical protection suites and masks and spraying anti-viral disinfectants throughout the site.

Organisers and officials behind Expo 2020 have said recently that talks will be held this week on the future of the show. H.E. Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General, Expo 2020 Dubai assured that the health of visitors is a top priority, saying: “Our immediate priority is the health and well-being of everyone involved in Expo 2020 Dubai, and this will not be compromised. Our monitoring of ongoing developments means we will take all sensible precautions to manage and mitigate risk to all those involved.”

Named ‘The World’s Greatest Show’, Expo 2020 will take place from October 20 2020 to April 10 2021, expecting to see more than 25 million visitors, 70% of which will be from outside the UAE.
