Malls, airports, and attractions come together for UAE National Day
Public and private sectors across the emirate are gearing up for the 48th National Day event
Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) has unveiled the calendar of events for the UAE National Day. It showcases airports, malls, and popular tourist spots all taking part in the holiday.
UAE National Day Celebrations at Dubai Airports
Taking place during November 27, December 1 and December 2, Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport will host a number of National Day activities.
On November 27, Terminal 3 of Dubai International will have a speech from H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, minister of tolerance. Following his speech will be a dance performance by Emirati children and a number of other activities.
On December 1 and 2, both airports will have traditional bands perform and greet passengers.
Faces of the Nation at Dubai Festival City Mall
During December 2, DFC Mall will host the ‘Faces of the Nation’ show.
The show will bring together pictures collated at the mall and online, forming part of the show to be held at 8pm and 10pm.
There will also be firework displays and traditional dances.
From November 29 – December 3, traditional bands will play at a number of malls, also featuring traditional dances such as Ayala, Razfa and Liwa.
Events will take place on December 2 at the Dubai Mall, November 29 – December 1 at the Al Nakheel Mall.
From November 29 to December 3 events will take place at City Walk, The Outlet Village, Box Park, City Centre Midrif City Centre Deira, Mall Of Emirates and Dubai Festival City.
Legacy of our Ancestors
From November 30 – December 2 at the Dubai Mall, there will be flag, scarf and magnet pin giveaways, as well as a number of ancestry-themed events and band performances.
Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountain
From December 1-3, in celebration of UAE National Day, Burj Khalifa will stage a LED light show and the Dubai Fountain will be aglow with shows daily at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm and 9pm.
