It has been confirmed that no alcohol will be sold in restaurants or bars for over 24 hours this weekend in Dubai.

From Friday, November 8 at 5.30pm until 6.30pm on Saturday, November 9, nothing other than soft drinks can be served throughout the emirate.

The rules also mean that there can be no entertainment such as live bands during this time.
