Etihad Airways has re-launched its website, which makes its easier and faster for guests to access information and manage their booking, in addition to online-check ins.

The website is live globally on Etihad’s site editions in 16 languages. Guests will also have access to faster loading pages and reduction in the number of pages.

Commenting on the site renovation, Etihad Aviation Group’s chief digital officer, Frank Meyer said: “Enhancing the guest experience is at the heart of what we do. Knowing travellers increasingly turn to digital channels to manage their journey, we completely redesigned our website to provide a superior digital experience.”

The revamped website is responsive across smart phones, tablets and desktops.  Additionally, 25% more guests are accessing self-service functionalities and checking in online. Previously, this was only available to those who booked directly through Etihad.

Meyer added: “This achievement marks a major milestone on our digital roadmap and follows on from other recent successes in the digital space. Last year, we deployed customised offers to allow our guests to choose more personalised travel options online before their flight. The digital ecosystem is changing and we are looking to the future.”

Future enhancements include a booking engine to provide an end-to-end user journey and a user-friendly payment system. Guests looking to travel will be able to pay with cash, Etihad Guest Miles or a combination of cash plus miles.
