Dubai records more than 2,500 hotel keys in H1 2019
Nearly 50% of those keys were in the luxury segment
Despite a drop in RevPAR and ADR so far in 2019, analysts at the company believe that with the run up to Expo 2020, Dubai’s hospitality market is expected to grow by an average of 12% until FY 2020.
According to Colliers, hotel properties are setting ambitious development goals in order to open in time for Expo 2020.
On the whole, markets in the UAE continued to experience rate compressions and low occupancy levels through the first half of the year.
Abu Dhabi saw a marginal increase of 3.5% in hotel guests while Dubai received the same number of visitors compared to the same period last year.
