Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Haj and Umrah anticipates that the number of haj tourists will go up by 18% in the new Umrah season that begins on September 1, officials from the Ministry revealed.

According to the Saudi Gazette, Abdulaziz Bin Abdul Rahim Wazzan, undersecretary for the affairs of Umrah, said that the ministry has adopted new strategies to handle the rise in tourists in the upcoming season.

Reports suggested that the strategies and plans include the launch of a new central reservation platform though which pilgrims can receive Umrah visas directly and preparation for accommodating the pilgrims.
