An unidentified gunman opened fire on a tourist bus near Petra in Jordan.

No injuries were reported as the passengers were not on board at the time of the incident, state news agency Petra said. 

According to the news agency, the bus that belonged to local authorities in Petra was damaged by the gunfire.

Officials said that the shooting was likely “due to a dispute between persons in the area”, Petra reported.
