Dubai announces 'dry day' on August 9-10
No alcohol to be served from 6:30pm on Friday, August 9

Dubai Tourism has announced a dry day will take place in the emirate from Friday, August 9 at 6:30pm until Saturday, August 10 at 7.30pm.
A circular released to F&B operators and hotels in the city, and seen by our sister publication Caterer Middle East, announced that alcohol must be refrained from being served during these hours.
It's for the occasion of Arafat Day ahead of this year's Eid Al Adha which will see public and private sector employees receive four days from Saturday, August 10 to Tuesday, August 13.
