Saudi inspects more than 700 hotels ahead of ‘Taif season’

The Saudi city hosts an annual 30-day festival

Officials from Saudi Arabia’s Tourism ministry have inspected more than 700 hotels in the kingdom’s Taif city.

The 30-day festival that starts in August records an huge influx of tourists.

According to reports, the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) inspected hotels, resorts, furnished residential units and lodges.

The inspections were held to ensure that all properties are following a set standard and are being run legally.

Factors such as the cleanliness were looked into as well, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) announced.
