More than two million tourists visited Oman in Q1 2019

According to latest data, GCC citizens were among the top five nationalities that visited the country in April

A total of 2.2 million tourists visited Oman in Q1 of 2019, statistics from the Sultanate’s National Centre for Statistics and Information revealed.

According to latest data, GCC citizens were among the top five nationalities that visited the country in April, followed by Indians, British and German citizens. NCSI revealed that a total of 457,379 tourists from the Gulf visited Oman, followed by 130,468 Indians 93,989 tourists from Germany and 70,423 British tourists.

Meanwhile, the total number of tourists arriving by cruise ships were 172,000, with German, British and Italian tourists leading the list.
