Marriot launches mid-priced Courtyard brand in Istanbul
Marriott has launched its moderately-priced Courtyard by Marriott brand in Turkey.
The 262-room Courtyard by Marriott Istanbul International Airport is has been designed to attract European business travellers seeking a more relaxed accommodation option, explained Wolfgang Koller, the hotel’s general manager.
"This hotel is designed specifically for European business travellers who want all the conveniences of an upscale hotel but in a more casual, open design where they can be totally at ease.
"Istanbul is a thriving business hub and a world-class destination – the perfect location for this global brand," he said.
The hotel is located 5km from Istanbul Ataturk International Airport and is a 25 minute drive from Istanbul’s city centre. It offers 228 deluxe and 32 superior rooms and suites which, in keeping with the hotel’s corporate focus, are equipped with two telephone lines, wireless Internet access and an oversized work desk and ergonomic chair, as well as Marriott’s acclaimed bedding and linen.
Additional facilities include Oleo Pazzo Restaurant, which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner; a business center/Internet corner in the lobby; a Grab & Go market which provides snacks and refreshments, 24 hours a day; and the Caretta Spa, which features a fully-equipped gym, 77m² indoor pool, sauna, steam bath and four treatment rooms. For conferences and social events, the hotel has a 300 m² ballroom and seven smaller meeting rooms.
"This latest Courtyard brings our total roster of properties to more than 800 hotels," said Brian King, senior vice president of the Courtyard brand. "We have also recently added hotels in France, Thailand, Hawaii and Washington DC."
Opening special rates for the month of June are €89 on weekend nights and €99 midweek.
