Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai walks for diabetes

Awareness event organised by the Landmark group attracted more than 18,000 participants

The Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai recently participated in the 10th edition of Beat Diabetes Walk at Zabeel Park in Dubai.  

The event attracted more than 18,000 participants who completed the three-kilometre walk to raise awareness about the need for healthy living. The event, which was organised by  the Landmark Group, was held with the support of the Dubai Sports Council, Emirates Diabetes Society (EDS), the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Dubai Municipality, Roads and Transport Authority and the Dubai Police.

According to Simon Moore, general manager of Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai, 37 volunteers from the hotel took part in the event, which formed part of the hotel’s corporate social responsibility.
