This year’s Arabian Hotel Investment Conference will see the first awarding of the Best Staff Accommodation Award.

Established to recognise excellence in the field of staff accommodation, the award emphasises the value that hotel operators put into looking after their own teams as well as their guests.

AHIC organiser Jonathan Worsley said the award would be “an excellent way to acknowledge best practice in the industry and support those developers and operators that are currently providing due-care to their staff through excellent accommodation facilities”.

The accommodation can be located anywhere across the Middle East and must have been fully opened before the end of 2008.

The winner will be announced at a special awards ceremony during the conference.
