Saudi princess robbed of jewels worth US$930,000 from Ritz Paris hotel
Saudi royal family member says hundreds of thousands of euros' worth of jewellery has been stolen from her hotel room in Paris
A Saudi princess has reported hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of jewellery as stolen from her Ritz Paris hotel.
The jewels, worth an estimated US $930,000, were not in a safe when they were taken and there was no sign of forced entry, according to reports.
An investigation has been opened by France’s anti-organised-crime task force, a legal source told AFP.
This is the second time this year that valuable jewels have been stolen from the Ritz in Paris. In January, thieves burst into the lobby and stole millions of dollars worth of necklaces and other jewellery from display cases, according to Reuters.
