Melia Hotels International to enter Mozambique this year

The Spanish hotel company extends its international footprint in Africa, where it has recently opened the Melia Serengeti

Meliá Hotels International will open Meliá Maputo Hotel, the first for Meliá Hotels International in Mozambique in Q2 2018. With this hotel, the chain will now operate 11 hotels in Africa.

The Meliá Maputo Hotel will have 171 rooms and suites, as well as facilities for meetings and events including two event rooms and an auditorium for up to 150 people. The hotel will also include a restaurant and a coffee bar.

The agreement for this hotel is the result of the partnership between Meliá Hotels International and the Portuguese hotel group Hoti Hoteis.
