Kuwait's Marriott Hotels has appointed Samer Gerges as the new cluster director of sales and marketing. To his new job, Gerges brings over a decade of sales experience in the hospitality industry.

In his new role, Gerges will oversee all sales, marketing and reservations activities at JW Marriott Hotel, Courtyard by Marriott Hotel Residence Inn by Marriott and Arraya Ball Room managed by Marriott. He will also be responsible in developing business strategies that drive more revenues, growth and exceed the business goals.

Prior to his appointment, Gerges has held various positions within the Marriott Hotels including cluster sales manager and cluster director of sales at Marriott Hotels in Kuwait, where he was in charge of managing all proactive and reactive sales teams, and putting together strategies to drive business and revenues.
