Wi-Q

Wi-Q is a queue-busting, cloud-based, mobile ordering solution for hospitality. Powered by wi-Q Technologies, wi-Q puts the power to browse, order and pay for F&B or hotel guest services instantly in the customers’ hands. Instead of forcing customers to download another mobile app, wi-Q’s fully brand-customisable mobile ordering menu is accessible through the internet browser on any mobile device. All a customer needs is an active 3G/4G or Wi-Fi connection, allowing them to order inside or outside the venue. Customers can even filter menu results according to any dietary or allergen requirements, as well as add order notes for the venue’s staff. Once complete, the customer can then pay for their order via a variety of payment options, including PayPal, Apple Pay and many more. Wi-Q is available on a revenue-based, SaaS pricing model and requires little to no Capex. Wi-Q customers, which include entertainment venues, coffee shops and hotels, have experienced an instant ROI, thanks to increased order frequency and average order value.

Interel connectBsmart Thermostat

Interel’s ‘connectBsmart’ Thermostat brings IoT into hospitality with its Energy Management System (EMS). Through connectivity with an existing property management system, Interel’s EMS can save energy in guest rooms that are not checked into, and also ensure that a room is pre-conditioned for personalised comfort when the next guest checks in. Aside from its hospitality-focused design with customised glass and large icons for maximum usability, as well as sensors for temperature and humidity, the connectBsmart Thermostat also features built-in sensors for motion detection. This means hoteliers can automatically save additional energy when the guest is out of the room without any impact on their comfort. The product has been tailor-made for retrofits in existing hotels — allowing hoteliers to easily upgrade and bring their thermostats online through the hotel’s existing WiFi network. Easy to install, the connectBsmart Thermostat is the intelligent IoT connectivity hub of the guest room. Hoteliers can enable and empower a wide range of other devices and services, including bringing door locks and minibars online — making the connectBsmart Thermostat much more than a thermostat.
